The builder of our new home in the Willow Pointe subdivision, Houston, Texas is Kimball Hill.  Willow Ponte is located southwest of the West Belt and Fallbrook in Northwest Houston.

We are currently waiting....and waiting for our home to be completed.

• June 30, 1999 - Signed contract
• Aug 18, 1999 - Initial pre-start meeting.  OK, nothing happened for 6 weeks.  So much for getting started in the first month.
• Sept. 24, 1999 - They finally poured the slab.  5 weeks to build a form and put in sewers.  About right?
• Sept. 30, 1999 - Framing begins.  They hit it really hard.  We get our second construction superintendent.
• Nov. 1999 - Pre-sheetrock meeting.  They were working on the house.  We have this meeting with our third construction superintendent.
• Dec. 29, 1999 - Another meeting.  To meet our fourth construction superintendent who told us his intention was to finish the house by the end of January.  Our salesman made sure we knew that was based on best efforts.
• Jan 31, 2000 - Closing is set.
• Feb. 4, 2000 - Closing is reset
• Feb. 15, 2000 - We hope to have our conveyance walk.  Almost 8 months after contract.
• Feb/ 17, 2000    We finally close.  All is not well, but we close

And, the house doesn't meet the requirements of the Homeowners Association.  We have to bring it up to standards after we move in!!  The week of February 7th Kimball Hill was featured by Channel 13's Marvin Zindler's consumer report about a home that the buyer has been waiting over a year for.  Buyer beware!
